Yesterday it hit 83 degrees at DFW, that tied a record high for the date. I expect temperatures almost that warm today.
The typical high temperature this time of year is 60 degrees. We stayed ABOVE that mark all night long with those steady south winds and clouds. The record the warmest morning for this date is 63 degrees.
NEAR RECORD WARM CONTINUES
We are going to get very close to tying a record high today (81 in 2007). Morning clouds will clear out by mid-day. ?It?ll be breezy just like yesterday, in the 20-25 mph range all afternoon long.
Much the same weather for Monday; morning clouds, afternoon sun, gusty south winds and a high of 80 degrees.
A LITTLE RAIN, A LITTLE COOLER
There is yet another major storm hitting the West Coast. It will bring a cold front here on Tuesday. Right now it looks like the rain chances will be southeast of the metro area.
We could use the rain of course, north Texas has fallen back into drought status. ?November ends up the 5th driest on record, Autumn the 7th driest:
The next real chance of rain for the metro area will arrive with the next cold front on Friday. This one will drop the temperatures down to something more ?December-like? by next weekend.
